Our 2005 reunion was a resounding success. Over 150 attended our Saturday night event at the Lenexa Conference Center, with live music and a barbecue buffet. We had an enthusiastic turnout at the Longbranch on Friday, where many became reacquainted and made new friends. Sunday, our class picnic at Jeff Rawlings' farm was a quiet chance to visit classmates and their families and see Jeff's spread.
For those interested, the reunion announcement and related pages are archived here.
Thank you to our volunteers:
- J. McFadden, reunion chair. Without Jay, there would have been no reunion. He made all the selections and reservations. He started in November and all came together so well due to his hard work and planning. He put together a main event with food and live music and a superb venue for the amazing figure of only $40/person. Jay provided the scans of photos from previous reunions for the Gallery, as well as the scans from 1964 and 1965 Hauberks.
- Dick Hodgman, webmaster. We used email and word-of-mouth to contact over 200 of our 789 classmates. Weekly emails (composed by Jay, sent by Dick) allowed the committee to keep classmates informed.
- Jeff Rawlings opened his farm to us for our Sunday picnic.
- George and Barbara Burg ran the registration table Saturday night
- Bob Forman made sure we had plenty of beverages available Saturday night
- Jan Marcason kept the food line stocked and moving Saturday night
